Event Details

The Science, Math, Technology and Engineering for Middle School Students will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the USC Davidson Conference Center. This event is part of the 2008 California Education Crisis Summit and will feature interactive break-out sessions and outreach programs for middle school students and their parents in addition to the  professional development workshops  for STEM teachers. 

Attendees will participate in interactive break-out workshops during the morning related to technology and STEM outreach programs. In the afternoon, lunch will be provided before the keynote speaker takes center stage, Jose M. Hernandez, NASA Astronaut. Following the keynote address, the innovative STEM technology fair will kick off.  Several large corporations and STEM organizations will have hands‑on demonstrations for all attendees during the fair.
